Tree Service in Chandler, AZ
ISA Certified Arborists serving Chandler neighborhoods from just next door in Gilbert.
Chandler has two personalities when it comes to trees. North and central Chandler have established neighborhoods with big, mature shade trees that have been growing for decades. South Chandler, through Ocotillo, Sun Groves and Fulton Ranch, is full of younger landscapes that are just now reaching the size where they need professional attention. Heartwood Tree Care works in both, and we bring the same careful, standards-based approach to a 40-year-old ash as we do to a 10-year-old palo verde.

Common Tree Issues in Chandler
Chandler’s heat, alkaline soil and monsoon winds create a predictable set of tree problems. Here is what we see most:
Overgrown mesquites. Mesquites grow fast and thick. Without thinning, the canopy catches wind like a sail and limbs split at weak unions.
Aging sissoos. Root damage to pools and plumbing, plus heavy limbs that can break in storms.
Declining palo verdes. Older palo verdes often carry a lot of deadwood and can be weakened by boring insects.
Mature shade trees in older neighborhoods. Ash, elm, pine and eucalyptus in areas like those near Downtown Chandler can be very large and close to homes, which makes routine inspection and pruning important.
Young trees with poor structure. Many newer communities were planted with trees that were never structurally pruned. Fixing that early is far cheaper than removing a split tree later.
Citrus and fruit trees. Chandler’s history includes citrus, and plenty of yards still have it. Citrus needs light, careful pruning to stay productive.
Our Tree Services in Chandler
Tree Trimming and Structural Pruning
Good pruning is about the next five years, not the next five weeks. We thin canopies to reduce wind load, remove deadwood, raise branches that hang over roofs and walkways, and correct structural problems in young trees before they become expensive. We follow ISA pruning standards and never top trees.
Tree Removal
When a tree is dead, dangerous, diseased or simply in the wrong spot, we remove it safely and completely. We handle everything from small ornamentals to towering eucalyptus and ash, including trees beside homes, pools and power lines.
Crane-Assisted Removal
Chandler lots, especially in master-planned communities, often have narrow side yards and backyards boxed in by block walls and pools. For big trees in tight spaces, a crane lets us remove the tree in controlled sections and lift them out without dragging anything across your yard.
Sissoo Removal and Root Control
Chandler has thousands of sissoo trees, and many of them are now old enough to cause real damage. Sissoo roots travel far and are drawn to water, which puts pool plumbing, irrigation lines and sewer laterals at risk. We remove the tree and address the stump and roots to cut down on resprouting.
Stump Grinding
We grind stumps below the surface and clean up the debris so the area is ready for new landscaping.
Storm Damage Cleanup
Monsoon winds hit Chandler hard. We clear fallen trees and broken limbs and help you decide whether a damaged tree can stay.
Consultations, Fertilization and Planting
Not sure if a tree is sick or just stressed by the heat? An ISA Certified Arborist can diagnose the problem, recommend treatment or deep root fertilization, and help you choose replacement trees that will thrive in Chandler’s conditions.
Randy was good at explaining what he saw about the health of our trees and course of action. He also volunteered tips how to take care of some other trees on our property.
We had the bio-boost treatment to help a struggling ash tree and to also boost some orange trees that we planted last year. He was also a good natured and helpful person also volunteering some tips about care of our orange trees. The bio-boost is injected into the ground with a probe. Note: it may result in puncturing underground irrigation if unlucky. The probe poked a clean hole into our in-ground PVC irrigation lateral that I paid someone to come repair.
Another crew came to trim dead branches from our large tree and remove some stumps with a grinder. I thought they would just grind and leave holes. I was pleased that they cleaned up the debris, filled the holes, and covered with the surrounding gravel. Where there had been stumps, I could hardly tell there had been anything there before at all. Will was the crew's lead person who spoke with me during their time in our yard. I also found him to be good at explaining and I felt like he actually did care about the quality of work being done. I hope that Heartwood will reward him and the others who came with him.
