Tree Service in Sun Lakes, AZ
Friendly, honest tree care for Sun Lakes homes, rated 4.9 stars by our customers.
Sun Lakes is one of the Valley’s best-known active adult communities, with golf courses, lakes and well-kept neighborhoods. Many homes here were built decades ago, and the trees around them have grown along with the community. Today, many Sun Lakes residents have mature trees that are too big to manage on their own and too close to the house to ignore.

What We See Most in Sun Lakes
Mature Trees Close to Homes
Trees planted when homes were built are now large and often too close to roofs, walls and patios. Clearance pruning keeps them off the house and out of the gutters.
Messy Trees and Litter
Some trees drop heavy amounts of leaves, pods or berries onto patios, pools and walkways. Selective pruning can help, and in some cases replacing the tree with a cleaner species is the better long-term choice.
Trees Along Golf Courses and Common Areas
Homes on the fairway often have trees near property lines and common areas. We can help you sort out what is yours to maintain and what needs HOA approval.
Monsoon Risk
Thinning dense mesquite and palo verde canopies before mid-June reduces the chance of storm damage.
Tree Services for Sun Lakes Homes
Tree trimming and pruning. We remove deadwood, thin dense canopies, lift limbs off roofs and patios and keep trees looking neat. We prune to ISA standards and never top trees.
Tree removal. If a tree is dead, dangerous or simply too big for the yard, we remove it safely and haul everything away.
Stump grinding. We grind stumps below the surface and clean up, so you can put down rock, plant or leave a clean, level area.
Sissoo removal. Sissoo trees can push roots into plumbing, cracks and hardscape. We remove them and address the stump to reduce regrowth.
Storm cleanup. After a monsoon, we clear fallen limbs and trees and make damaged trees safe.
Arborist consultations. If you are not sure whether a tree is healthy or safe, an ISA Certified Arborist can take a look and tell you honestly.
Tree planting. We can recommend low-maintenance, low-litter trees suited to Sun Lakes yards and HOA guidelines.
Randy was good at explaining what he saw about the health of our trees and course of action. He also volunteered tips how to take care of some other trees on our property.
We had the bio-boost treatment to help a struggling ash tree and to also boost some orange trees that we planted last year. He was also a good natured and helpful person also volunteering some tips about care of our orange trees. The bio-boost is injected into the ground with a probe. Note: it may result in puncturing underground irrigation if unlucky. The probe poked a clean hole into our in-ground PVC irrigation lateral that I paid someone to come repair.
Another crew came to trim dead branches from our large tree and remove some stumps with a grinder. I thought they would just grind and leave holes. I was pleased that they cleaned up the debris, filled the holes, and covered with the surrounding gravel. Where there had been stumps, I could hardly tell there had been anything there before at all. Will was the crew's lead person who spoke with me during their time in our yard. I also found him to be good at explaining and I felt like he actually did care about the quality of work being done. I hope that Heartwood will reward him and the others who came with him.
