Estate Tree Care in Paradise Valley
Mature Specimen Trees
Many Paradise Valley properties have trees that were planted decades ago and are now centerpieces of the landscape. Large pines, ash, eucalyptus, olive, mesquite, palo verde and ironwood all need different care. Specimen trees deserve a plan, not just a trim.
Privacy and Screening
Trees often screen a property from roads and neighbors. Pruning should protect that screening while removing deadwood and reducing storm risk.
Views of Camelback and Mummy Mountain
Selective thinning and crown raising can open or preserve mountain views without harming the tree. Topping is never the answer: it damages trees and creates unsightly, weak regrowth.
Native Desert Landscapes
Many lots include native trees and cacti. Some native plants are protected under Arizona law, and removing them can involve extra steps. We will explain what applies before any removal.

Our Paradise Valley Tree Services
Tree pruning and trimming to ISA standards, with a light hand on desert species and specimen trees.
Tree removal, including very large trees close to homes, guest houses, pools, courtyards and outdoor living spaces.
Crane-assisted removal. Estate properties often have extensive hardscape, pools and landscaping between the tree and the street. A crane lets us remove large trees in sections and lift them out over structures, minimizing ground disturbance.
Stump grinding with careful cleanup, ready for new landscaping.
Storm damage response. Monsoon winds can do serious damage. We clear fallen trees and make damaged trees safe.
Arborist consultations. An ISA Certified Arborist can assess the health, structure and risk of your trees and advise on long-term care.
Deep root fertilization and tree health care for stressed or declining trees.
Tree planting and selection to replace lost trees with species suited to the property and climate.
Randy was good at explaining what he saw about the health of our trees and course of action. He also volunteered tips how to take care of some other trees on our property.
We had the bio-boost treatment to help a struggling ash tree and to also boost some orange trees that we planted last year. He was also a good natured and helpful person also volunteering some tips about care of our orange trees. The bio-boost is injected into the ground with a probe. Note: it may result in puncturing underground irrigation if unlucky. The probe poked a clean hole into our in-ground PVC irrigation lateral that I paid someone to come repair.
Another crew came to trim dead branches from our large tree and remove some stumps with a grinder. I thought they would just grind and leave holes. I was pleased that they cleaned up the debris, filled the holes, and covered with the surrounding gravel. Where there had been stumps, I could hardly tell there had been anything there before at all. Will was the crew's lead person who spoke with me during their time in our yard. I also found him to be good at explaining and I felt like he actually did care about the quality of work being done. I hope that Heartwood will reward him and the others who came with him.
