I had a great experience with Heartwood! Howard and Randy both provided an assessment and estimates, they were both clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. I had a tree removed, soil conditioned and a few trees trimmed. Will and his crew did a great job, they were early and fast! They left my backyard cleaner than when they got there. I’ll be using them again and would recommend to anyone!
Amazing to have a contractor I can trust. The monsoon broke a limb one day, and Heartwood was there that day to diagnose the tree and returned the next day to remove the tree for me. For such a high risk industry, I must have confidence they will do an amazing job safetly. They showed up when they said they would and they were done when they said they would be. Oh, the tree was 30' tall, dead as a doornail and surrounded by structures. Heartwood all the way.
The Heartwood tree crew that came out after the big storm did a fantastic job of removing dead and broken branches on my paloverde and very large shade tree. I will recommend Heartwood Tree Care to everyone I know that needs tree work.
First of all some guys showed up at my house with no idea what they were supposed to do. Because of course the guy that comes out to quote a price and is knowledgable doesn’t do the work or even supervise the work. They just show up with some tree trimming gear like “uh what are we doing here?” That’s kind of weird.
So I told them they were to remove a tree and the stump. They did a good job. They were fast.
My main issue is that they left my yard a mess. They cut the tree down and then cleaned the yard. I thought it was weird and thought maybe they forgot about the stump. So I double checked they were going to remove it and he said yeah they were going to. So they ground it down then just left. I think they forgot (because they had no idea what the job even was when they showed up) and so they didn’t want to clean the yard again so just left it a mess. I had to go out after with my little leaf blower and spend half an hour cleaning up their mess.

Recently, a storm knocked down our 20+ year-old Sissoo tree, leaving us with quite a mess to clean up. I contacted Heartwood Tree Care for help with the stump removal, and their response was incredibly swift! They took the time to educate me on the best options for removing the stump. Howard was fantastic to work with, going above and beyond by staying until dark to ensure the job was done correctly. I would highly recommend Heartwood Tree Care—A++!
